Frates Reinsurance Intermediary was established in 1986 and for over 25 years has worked with all the major reinsurers in the United States, London, Bermuda, Germany, and Ireland. Our guiding principle is to represent our clients in a quality and professional manner.
We enjoy working on difficult problems, we're not afraid to roll up our sleeves and analyze a tough situation to come up with quality reinsurance. We have represented several ceding companies that could not find reinsurance and we were able to do so.
We represent your company in the best possible light, putting together a quality presentation to the reinsurers.
Team
Albert Amato joined Frates on September 1, 1986 to head up reinsurance. He has over 25 years in reinsurance, which started with American Re-Insurance Company. He served honorably in the U.S. Army, obtained his B.S. and M.B.A. from Fordham University and Senior Management Program Certificate from Harvard University. He has authored "Reference Guide to Reinsurance"…available at Amazon and Barnes and Noble.
Desmond Bohan, VP/Programs, CPCU, joined Frates in 2004. Considered an expert program insurance matching Program Managers, Program Administrators, MGAs, MGUs with insurers. He is in constant contact with numerous insurers looking to do programs and knows their ever-changing appetite. He has specific knowledge of the various structures an insurance program can take…from an MGA program to a binding authority.
Mason Amato recently joined Frates. A recent graduate of the University of Southern California where he obtained significant marketing knowledge from the many successful entrepreneur guest lecturers at the University. He now is spearheading our marketing campaign to make Frates Insurance Services and Frates Reinsurance more visible.
Dina Garafola has an accounting degree and a master's degree, superb technical and computer skills.
